Principal's Message:    As a follow up to Mr. Graden’s message on Wednesday, October 21st, we would like to clarify the following: Saline Middle School will remain in a hybrid model at least through the end of the first trimester. There will be a webinar on Thursday, October 29th at 6:00 pm explaining in-person versus remote for families.  Look for link soon. The first trimester will have a NEW end date of Tuesday, November 24th. The second trimester will begin on Monday, November 30, 2020. Parent-Teacher conferences will still occur on Wednesday, November 18th and Thursday, November 19th.  More information will come from your student’s teacher soon. A survey concerning your student’s learning preference for the second trimester will be released on Thursday, November 5th and will be due on Sunday, November 8th. Look for the survey through K-12 Insight. Also, it continues to be imperative that absences are reported through the front office with specific symptoms, even remotely.

Principal's Message:    There are many autumn celebrations, including Halloween, that we need to hold differently this year as a result of COVID-19. In addition to added safety practices, we want to approach Fall celebrations with a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion.  First, we recognize that not all people celebrate Halloween and want them to feel affirmed for their belief, tradition, or choice. We also know that many students enjoy dressing in costumes for Halloween. Halloween can provide students an opportunity to have fun, be in character, and show creativity. We know some students may choose to dress in costume for Halloween while at school on October 28th or 29th. Our standard expectations for student costumes, in alignment with the school dress code, remain: Students can only wear a mask that is used for the COVID-19 crisis No short skirts/shorts  Nothing that could be used as a weapon (chains, handcuffs, metal pointed studs, etc.) No tank tops, halter tops, low

Principal's Message:    Good morning SMS Families:   Now that we have completed the second week of hybrid, I want to take a minute and say how proud I am of the students, families and staff of their commitment to learning.  While normal Fridays are asynchronous Fridays, where students are expected to log on, this Friday is a day off, which was previously scheduled in the SAS calendar.  We hope that you enjoy the long weekend. On a normal asynchronous Friday, we ask students to attend teachers' office hours (if available) and log into each class via Google Classroom or Summit (including both electives) and complete assignments posted.  Assignments posted on Fridays are either review assignments from the week or new learning.   Thank you for your patience as we work through the expectations of asynchronous Fridays. Blue/Gold and Elective Schedule for the Week: Important/New Information: 1.  NEW Picture Retake Day  is this Thursday, October 15th from 8 am-12 pm.   Virtual stude
