Saline Middle School Hornet Highlights for Sunday, November 1, 2020

  Principal's Message:

With the rise in Covid-19 cases, it is imperative that we work together to mitigate the spread, even while out of school. Staying socially distant, wearing masks and washing hands continues to be imperative during these times. Please report absences through the front office with specific symptoms, even remotely. Please call the Saline Middle School front office to report attendance at 734-401-4600; press #1 for attendance OR use the Google Form.

Thank you for your continued effort and partnership.

With the 2021 Presidential Election occurring next Tuesday, November 3rd, we have shared the Election Etiquette rules with our students. Please review these with your students as we are committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment at Saline Middle School. A special thank you to the SMS Social Studies Department for development of this etiquette.

Election Etiquette

Be Respectful

  • Recognize that all people share similarities and differences, but we show respect for all.

  • Be an open-minded listener.

Be Responsible

  • If you see others making disrespectful comments, politely remind them that we are all allowed to have our own opinions.

  • Knowledge benefits us all - learning about different opinions doesn’t mean you have to agree.

Be Kinder than necessary

  • Even if you disagree with an opinion, be kind.

  • Refrain from making comments to deliberately cause another to be upset (both in the classroom and in hallways).
