Saline Middle School Hornet Highlights for Sunday, January 10, 2021

Principal's Message:

Welcome to the first hybrid week of 2021!  As we head into in-person learning, it essential that families report the following to the Saline Middle School Office:

  • If your student is currently in quarantine for testing positive or having symptoms within the past 10 days or are awaiting test results
  • If your student has been identified as a close contact to someone who has tested positive within the past 10-14 days
  • If you have traveled outside of the United States in the last fourteen days
The attendance line can be reached at:  734-401-4600; press #1 for attendance OR use the Google Form.

If your child is returning to hybrid for the first time, welcome!  Here are reminders from September 27th that you may want to reference.  If your 7th or 8th grader, would like a locker, please have him/her visit the front office before the start of the day.  (6th grade teachers will handle lockers for 6th graders).

For all in-person students, please remember to bring your personal devices with a charging cord, you must wear a mask and please adhere to all social distancing protocols.  Also, students may choose a new table mate in the cafeteria for lunch.  Students must sit with other students in their grade level.

On a different note, but equally as important, in our first week of the 2021 school year, the insurrection of the US Capitol Building on January 6, 2021 was a major historical and news event.   It is also an emotional one for both adults and children.   We encourage any families who have concerns about their child’s mental or physical health to reach out to their school administration, school counselor or social worker.
